We have considerable experience defending architects and engineers before professional licensing boards, including complaints filed by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE), and disputes heard by the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) and various procurement agencies including the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Texas Parks and Wildlife. Additionally, we assist our clients with policy advisory opinions and other matters before these professional boards.
We also represent architects, engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, and other design professionals in the mediation, arbitration and litigation of claims arising out of the rendering of professional services for the design, development, and construction administration of various construction projects. We are panel counsel for most of the major professional liability insurance carriers, ideally beginning our representation when our client first learns of a possible claim, with the goal of resolving disputes before a lawsuit is ever filed.
Members of our firm have written and spoken extensively on the topic of professional registration and responsibility. For additional information, please visit our Seminars and Publications page.
